Though Only 23 years old, multi-talented singer/actor/pianist, Barry Fortgang is already a strong serious performer.

Learning to play piano and sing as a young child, Barry was first recognized as the musician who sang and played his way to 1st place in the Liberace Competition in Las Vegas; being chosen 2nd place in Fox 5’s Singsations Television Show; and recently performing the part of Troy in “High School Musical 2” for twenty-six shows at Tuacahn (St. George, Utah).

The Las Vegas native has entertained audiences at the Suncoast, Sam’s Town, and Gold Coast Showrooms, Turnberry Towers (Stirling Club), the famous Bootlegger Bistro located on the Las Vegas “South Strip”, and Cadillac Ranch in Town Square. Barry has also performed solo at the Mandalay Bay Events Center for the Carlson Industries Convention, Club Madrid at Sunset Station, the Chrome Room at the Santa Fe and Starbright Theater in Summerlin.

While at Green Valley High School, he was often featured in Concert Choir, Madrigals, Green NV (a’capela group), and Advanced Study Theatre where he played the lead part in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, portrayed three characters in the “Laramie Project”, and played one of the leads in “Camp Rock 2”.

Barry attended the American Music and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles on a Musical Theater scholarship.  Barry recently played the male lead, Emmit, in the musical “Legally Blonde” at the American Music and Dramatic Academy’s production in January, 2013.

During breaks, he often returns to Las Vegas to perform.  Barry performed at the Smith Center Benefit for Showbiz Kidz on February 17, 2013.

Currently Barry is a member of The Filharmonic, a 6-member A’Cappella Boy Band.  The group has been featured on NBC’s TV show “The Sing-Off” nine times, performed in the “Sing-Off 30-City Tour”, cameo role in Pitch Perfect 2, performed at The White House, and recently performed in the Philippines for the second time.  For the past year the group has been performing concerts throughout America.  Check out their complete “Get Up & Go” tour schedule.
